After a significant tenure of more than ten years with Epic Records, acclaimed pop artist Zara Larsson has reportedly concluded her association with the label. Sources indicate that she has now entered into an agreement with RCA Records, marking a pivotal moment in her career.
Insiders familiar with the negotiations reveal that Zara Larsson was highly sought after by various record labels. However, Sony Music, the parent company of both Epic and RCA, made a concerted effort to retain the artist within its extensive roster, culminating in her new contract with RCA.
Despite inquiries regarding the new recording agreement, representatives from both Epic and RCA Records have chosen not to provide any official comments or confirmations, maintaining a discreet stance on the matter.
Zara Larsson initially joined Epic Records in 2013, achieving international success with her album "So Good" in 2017. She continued to release music, including "Poster Girl" in 2021 and "Venus" in 2024, consistently evolving her artistry.
Last year proved to be a turning point for Larsson with the release of her fifth album, "Midnight Sun." This project unexpectedly propelled her back into the spotlight, generating numerous viral hits, most notably the album's title track, her enduring 2015 single "Lush Life," and the collaboration "Stateside" with PinkPantheress.
As her songs garnered increasing attention on the music charts, Larsson embarked on a worldwide "Midnight Sun" tour. The surging demand for her performances led to larger venues in places like Australia. Amidst her busy touring schedule, which extends into November, she also managed to record and release "Midnight Sun: Girls Trip" in early May, a remix album featuring an impressive lineup of artists including Shakira, Kehlani, Tyla, and Robyn.
The news of Zara Larsson's signing with RCA Records was initially reported by HitsDailyDouble, providing the first public indication of this significant industry development.
