On June 24, 2026, Visa Inc. announced a multi-year alliance with the Evolution Championship Series (Evo), extending until early 2028. This collaboration aims to enhance global fan interactions and bolster cross-border commerce within the gaming world. The partnership's initial phase at Evo Las Vegas featured exclusive discounts for Visa cardholders on merchandise, engaging 'Flash Tournaments' for attendees, and a high-profile 'Friday Night Showdown' exhibition match involving popular creators Tyler1 and Ludwig. The plan for 2027 includes broadening this partnership to support grassroots fighting game communities by investing in local tournaments and nurturing emerging global talent.
Frank Cooper III, Chief Marketing Officer at Visa Inc., articulated the company's enthusiasm for the Evo partnership, emphasizing its potential to elevate fan experiences, support the worldwide gaming community, and bring participants closer to the action, both physically and virtually.
Additionally, on June 15, 2026, Visa Inc., a significant holding in Chris Hohn's TCI Fund Portfolio, finalized a partnership agreement with Rockefeller Center. Under this agreement, Visa was named a Proud Partner of the Top of the Rock observation deck. Commencing in June 2026, eligible Visa cardholders will gain access to exclusive Early Bird tickets, allowing for private, early-hour entry, along with a 20% discount at the attraction's retail outlet.
Established in 1958 and headquartered in California, Visa Inc. operates as a leading payment technology firm with a global presence. The company manages VisaNet, a sophisticated transaction-processing network responsible for clearing, authorizing, and settling payments. Visa offers a diverse range of services under various brand names, including PLUS, Visa, V PAY, Visa Electron, and Interlink, serving a vast international clientele.
