Cadillac is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the debut of the 2026 Optiq-V, an exhilarating version of its compact electric SUV. This latest addition to the V-Series family promises a significant boost in performance, featuring a specially calibrated suspension system and a more aggressive visual profile to match its dynamic capabilities.
The 2026 Optiq-V marks a notable advancement in electric performance, delivering an impressive 519 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque when in its most potent 'Velocity Max' driving mode. This represents a substantial increase over the standard Optiq AWD model. Furthermore, the Optiq-V introduces responsive steering, a significantly firmer suspension for enhanced handling, high-performance six-piston Brembo front brakes, and the option for summer tires, all contributing to a superior driving experience. It is also General Motors' pioneering EV to integrate a native NACS port, with an adapter available for CCS plugs. The vehicle is equipped with an 85-kWh battery, providing an estimated driving range of 278 miles with all-season tires, or 250 miles with the optional summer tires. Visually, the Optiq-V stands out with a distinctive diffuser-like trim panel on its rear bumper and an optional carbon-fiber package that enhances various exterior elements, including the rear spoiler. Unique design patterns in the rear-quarter glass subtly echo the V badges located on the lower rear doors and liftgate, adding to its exclusive appeal. The new Optiq-V is priced starting at $68,795.
The launch of the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V demonstrates a commitment to innovation and high-performance in the burgeoning electric vehicle market. By integrating advanced technology with sophisticated design and powerful capabilities, Cadillac is not only meeting the demands of modern drivers but also inspiring a future where luxury, performance, and environmental consciousness converge seamlessly
