The U.S. stock market experienced a powerful resurgence in the second quarter of 2026, marked by the S&P 500 Index delivering an impressive 15.2% return. This performance represented its most substantial quarterly gain since 2020, signaling a strong recovery trend.
During this period, portfolio allocations heavily favored Information Technology and Consumer Discretionary sectors. Notably, Health Care emerged as the most significantly overweight sector, reflecting a confident outlook, while Financials were notably underweight. The positive contributions to relative performance were primarily driven by the Information Technology and Communication Services sectors. Conversely, the Industrials and Financials sectors proved to be headwinds, detracting from overall relative gains.
