After a period of anticipation, Bitmap Bureau has confirmed that "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction" is set to release on the Nintendo Switch. Gamers can mark their calendars for February 4, 2027, when the title will finally become available.
Following a previous postponement, pre-orders for the game are now active. Fans can purchase the standard edition through Clear River Games and Limited Run Games, with prices starting at £25 and £30 respectively. Both retailers include a supplementary booklet with the game. Limited Run Games offers an additional foil-embossed slip-case for those opting for their version.
For the ultimate fan experience, Limited Run Games has introduced a comprehensive collector's edition priced at £100. This premium package boasts an array of exclusive items designed to delight collectors. It includes all components of the standard edition, a unique collector's box from CultureFly, and packaging styled as a retro lunchbox to evoke a sense of nostalgia. Additionally, a SteelCase is provided to safeguard the game, alongside epoxy character pin badges featuring in-game sprites, allowing fans to proudly display their allegiance to He-Man or Skeletor. A replica of He-Man's iconic Power Sword with a display stand is also part of the set, symbolizing power. An acrylic standee showcasing He-Man riding Battle Cat adds to the display, complemented by a mini 12-page comic book crafted by the acclaimed Dark Horse Comics.
Collectors who act swiftly will be rewarded with an extra incentive. The first 2,250 pre-orders for the collector's edition will come with a complimentary 5.5-inch He-Man action figure, perfect for display or even a nostalgic bath-time play. These special pre-order offers will conclude at Limited Run Games on November 22nd at 11:59 pm eastern time.
Bitmap Bureau, the developer behind this new He-Man title, also gained recognition for "Terminator 2D: NO FATE," which was released in 2025. That game achieved a commendable score of 7/10 in our comprehensive review, setting a positive precedent for their latest project.
