Owning a Ferrari is a privilege in itself, but the marque occasionally elevates this exclusivity by crafting extraordinary models that transcend the standard. These exceptional vehicles, often drawing inspiration from Ferrari's storied past, are produced in extremely limited quantities, making them highly desirable. Among these is the Daytona SP3, a standout creation from Ferrari's 'Icona' series, launched in 2025. These limited-run masterpieces have rapidly become coveted collector's items, as evidenced by recent astronomical auction results.
An exceptionally unique Daytona SP3 recently achieved an astounding $18.5 million at a Broad Arrow auction in Las Vegas. This specific vehicle, Chassis no. 314846, was previously part of a renowned collector's private collection, acquired through Ferrari of Long Island, New York. As one of only 600 SP3s ever manufactured, and with a mere 81 miles on its odometer, its value is unparalleled. The SP3's design is a profound tribute to Ferrari's racing lineage, incorporating iconic horizontal slats reminiscent of vintage models while honoring the legendary race cars that inspired its creation.

It boasts an exclusive Verde Francesca paint finish, a lighter shade of green that alone added an extra $42,185 to its cost. Contrasting this vibrant hue, the hardtop, lower bodywork trims, splitter, side sills, and trunk lid are all rendered in glossy carbon fiber. Further enhancing its distinctive appearance are silver-finished rims paired with sleek gloss black brake calipers, adding a touch of refined elegance.
The interior of the Daytona SP3 showcases a sophisticated two-tone design, featuring Nero Alcantara upholstery on some panels, while the doors and seats are adorned with Ferrari's distinctive Mustard Aunde Jeans. Powering this automotive marvel is a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, positioned behind the driver. Derived from the 812 Competizione race car, this powerhouse delivers an astonishing 829 horsepower, making it Ferrari's most potent road-going engine to date. Despite the impressive $18.5 million price tag, another SP3 fetched an even higher sum in 2025, selling for $26 million as the unique 600th and final model in the limited series.
The Daytona SP3's immense value and iconic status are deeply rooted in its inspirational origins. Conceived as "a rolling tribute to one of the marque's most triumphant afternoons," the project commemorates Ferrari's historic sweep at the 24 Hours of Daytona in February 1967, where its 330 P3/P4 and 412P models secured a legendary 1-2-3 finish. These victorious race cars served as the spiritual blueprints for the SP3, embedding a legacy of triumph and engineering excellence into its very DN
